An in-service training titled “Developing Digital Capacity in Social Work Practices: Introduction to Qualitative Data Analysis with MAXQDA” was held on November 6, between, 09:00 and 12:00 2025, at the Çankırı Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Hall for the staff of the Çankırı Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.
The training was delivered by Dr. Research Assistant Ali Egi, a faculty member of the Department of Sociology. . During the session, participants learned about the importance of qualitative data analysis in social work, the basic functions of the MAXQDA software, and how various types of institutional data can be analyzed using this tool.
Participants were introduced to the main features of the program, and examples were provided on how MAXQDA can support the analysis of social assessment reports, interview transcripts, focus group studies, and project data.
The training concluded interactively with active participation from attendees. Emphasis was placed on the potential of digital analysis tools to strengthen institutional capacity, especially considering the diversity of data produced within the Ministry’s units.
