TURKISH PROFICIENCY EXAM

Turkish Proficiency Exam will be held on October 9, 2020 at 14:00, online and face to face. Those who want to take the face-to-face exam can take the exam at the Language Education Application and Research Center (TOMER). (Address: Türk Telekom Yanı. Sanat, Tasarım ve Mimarlık Fakültesi Binası 6.kat Merkez/Çankırı)

The Online Proficiency Exam will be conducted through the TDS Placement Exam. Please read the explanations below carefully to take the online exam.

TDS PLACEMENT TEST                                      

The exam consists of A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 sections. Each section has "Reading Comprehension, Listening, Writing and Speaking" sections.

If the participant starts the exam at A1 level and answers enough questions correctly in the “Reading - Understanding and Listening” sections, he / she passes to A2 level. The participant who cannot answer correctly enough questions at A2 level ends the exam by doing the "Writing and Speaking" sections at A1 level. In this case, the participant`s level is A1 and the participant is given an A1 certificate.

If the participant answers the questions in the "Reading-Comprehension and Listening" sections in the A1 and A2 sections, respectively, correctly enough, he/she moves on to the B1 section. The participant who cannot answer enough questions in section B1, answers the "Writing and Speaking" sections in section A2 and ends the exam. The participant is given an A2 level certificate.

The exam continues in this way until the end of C1. The last section he / she has answered determines the level of the participant and the participant is given a certificate at that level.

NOTE: CERTIFICATE IS NOT GIVEN FOR THE PROFICIENCY EXAMS.

Çankırı Karatekin University students are not awarded a certificate as a result of the Proficiency Exams.The results are reported to the departments where you are registered and those who are successful are considered exempted.

HOW CAN I BE A MEMBER OF TDS?

Go to the www.onlinetds.org website.

Click on the button named "Sınav Katılımcıları" (Test Takers).

Click on the“Hemen Kayıt Ol” ( "Register Now") button and enter your e-mail address and the password you will specify in the “Hesap Bilgileri” ("Account Information") section of the page that opens and click the "Next" button.

On the page that opens, write your name and surname in the “Kişisel Bilgiler” ("Personal Information") section and select your nationality from the menu. The personal information you save must match your passport, national or foreign identity and similar official information. Also, upload your passport or ID copy and biometric photo on your computer.

Go to the next page by clicking the "Next" button. On the page that opens, write your mobile phone and your address information in the “İletişim Bilgileri” ("Contact Information") section.

Go to the next page by clicking the "Next" button. On the page that opens, a text called “Kullanım Koşulları” ("Terms of Use") will appear. In order to register to TDS, check the “Kullanım Koşullarını Kabul Ediyorum” ("I Accept the Terms of Use") box at the bottom left and press the "FINISH" button.

After pressing the "FINISH" button, an activation mail will be sent to your e-mail address you used for registration. Click on the activation link sent to your e-mail address.

When your account is verified by the system and after completing your membership process, enter the system by clicking the “OTURUM AÇ” ("SIGN IN") button by typing your e-mail and password you used during registration.

HOW CAN I TAKE THE TDS PLACEMENT TEST?

After logging into the system, click on “YENİ SINAV” ("NEW EXAM") on the right.

Click the “GİRİŞ” ("ENTER") button under the heading “SEVİYE BELİRLEME SINAVI” (“PLACEMENT TEST") on the page that opens.

In the newly opened window, write down the exam code given to you by ÇAKÜ TOMER.

Finally, click the “SINAVA KATIL” ("TAKE THE EXAM") button to enter the exam.

The purpose of this exam is to ensure that the participant does not experience difficulties in the exam by testing the program and learning the system before the exam.

The exam consists of only the A1 part. In this section, there are "Reading Comprehension, Listening, Writing and Speaking" sections respectively.

After entering the exam, the participant will enter the exam by clicking the “Deneme Sınavı” (“Trial Exam”) button next to the “Yeni Sınav” (“New Exam”) button.
