Cankiri Karatekin University aims to make its institutional website perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for everyone. In this context, continuous improvements are being made so that content and components under www.karatekin.edu.tr align with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Scope
This statement covers the university's main institutional website and the core navigation, content listing, contact, and informational components provided on that site.
Target Conformance Level
The target conformance level is WCAG 2.2 AA. Accessibility work focuses on keyboard operability, visible focus, semantic structure, screen reader compatibility, alternative text usage, form labeling, and reduced-motion preferences.
Measures Implemented
- A skip-to-main-content link and visible focus indicators have been provided.
- Keyboard access has been strengthened in navigation, mobile menu, language switching, and content listing areas.
- Accessible names and supporting text have been added for icon-based controls.
- Semantic structure and screen reader announcements have been improved for content cards and dynamically loaded areas.
- Button, link, and descriptive relationships have been refined in shared components such as the cookie notice.
Known Limitations
Some archived legacy content, third-party embedded components, and PDF documents may not yet fully meet the target conformance level. These materials are being reviewed and prioritized progressively.
